Soccer Star!!

Well, we had our first soccer game a few weeks ago and let's just say her twirling on the field picking daisies was not exactly what we paid for. Presley and I held practice in our living room after Pearson went to bed all the next week and when Saturday came, she was 180% better! She started to get in the game and actually get infront of the ball. Huge improvement. (bribery works wonders for performance) Her 3rd game was last weekend and by gosh if she didn't get 3 attempts that the goalee stopped and we were so CLOSE to a score, but she tripped up over the ball. So we are hopefully game 4 will be the big SCORE! And yes, I didn't think I was that crazy sideline mom, but turns out I am! It's the small things in life and when your kid does well, it's a small victory for yourself! :)

September Update

Pearson is officially on the move and right before the 7m marker. She did about 8 steps last weekend and you would of thought she had just won the Kentucky Derby! But then I realized Presley never crawled, she skipped that hand/knee phase all together. Don't get me wrong Presley was mobile, she was fastest army crawler this side of the Mississppi. So Pearson on all 4's and moving was quite a sight. Now after a week of practice she's unstoppable. She may move at her own pace but she'll get there. We finally broke thru (2) teeth on the bottom. Presley got (2) teeth at a time so sister is following in her footsteps. Presley had her birthday on the 12th, officially a 4 yr old now! She had a blast complete w/ a 11' double waterslide, airplanes, race cars and swimming. She told me it was the best one yet....which means she's expecting mommy to top herself every year.....wowee, this could get really costly! Presley is loving the pre-k class and we have our first soccer game this coming Saturday. I'll post pictures of soccer & birthday as soon as I get a chance!

6 month check-up

Pearson is definitely our little chunky monkey. Weighing in at 17 lbs 11oz (80%), 26 1/4" (75%) and 45.5 cm head (>98%). They would be concerned about her head size, but she's a big girl and looking at her daddy's head size, really no cause for alarm. She got 2 shots and 1 oral shot which surprise to me & the nurse came right back up......twice. And for good measure 1 more time on the ride home. But she was fine after that. She's blowing through those milestones pretty quickly mastering her rolls and now sitting. Which is really as far as she needs to go right now, not quite ready to chase after a mobile baby on all 4's. Her sitting up is so VERY helpful to me though! I'll get the girls 6m pictures soon and will share when I do.

Presley starts the 4's class on Monday and her birthday is Sept 12th! She's super excited about that!!

1st Boating Experience

We were able to put the boat in the water in the only open dock left in Austin, ironically enough at "Dink Pearson Park". Pretty neat for her first outing! Thought we'd capture the moment!



Just watched the big kids jump off into the water. Really loved it!!
